The
Dream started in 1984, it was a crisp fall night at Selfridge Air
force Base. They had a gig and Jimmy had just asked Ricky Miles to
join the band. They were called Cherry Wine. They had no business
cards or any promotions. Jimmy was working for this Company that made
kids beds, and one of the beds looked like a race car. Well, they had
stickers he would have to put on the sides of every bed that was
made. It was called "the dream racer". They didn't like
that name, so they took all these stickers that Jimmy had (borrowed)
from his job and cut off the word racer. They walked out on the stage
that night and told everybody they were called
"The
Dream".
